TeeterTots is owned and managed by Jennifer Russell, a transplant from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She brought with her a nose for thrifting and a love of all things European (her husband calls her a Europhile!).

After giving birth to her daughter, Charlene, she added children's clothes to her collection, both in the U.S. and Europe while traveling for her previous job. Once she became pregnant with her second daughter, Audrey, she decided to quit corporate life
and start selling her wares.

In the summer of 2006, TeeterTots held its first Trunk Show out of Jennifer's home. That one Trunk Show was not only a great success from a business standpoint, but she walked away with a handful of new mom friends and customers that she keeps today. She has rented out large venues, such as the Hoaglund Pincus Conference Center, hosted Shows at Mothers & Company and even Chestnut Nursery School and Kindergarten, where she donated all profits to the school's endowment fund
